TR Fastenings Supports Charity Football Match in aid of Chestnut Tree House
Update from Steve Marner
'Thank you to all those whom kindly donated to the Chestnut Tree Hospice G4S charity football match, we managed to raise £160. Plus a kind donation of £100 from the company.'
TR Fastenings is delighted to support Steve Marner, a member of TR’s staff who will be playing in the G4S Celebrity Charity Football Match in aid of Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice on Sunday 27th September.
Steve will be amongst a team that will be up against such celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment as Spurs legend Ramon Vega, Olympic diving medallist Peter Waterfield and actors Ray Quinn and Kevin Leslie as well as ex-Brighton & Hove Albion players Kerry Mayo, Guy Butters, Gary Hart and Shaun Wilkinson. The match will be held at Worthing Football Club and kick off is at 1.00pm. Spectators are welcome and the afternoon will also include children’s activities and a raffle. Refreshments will also be available.
Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire.
Donations are much appreciated and more information about the match can be found here.
Terrina Barnes – Corporate Fundraiser for Chestnut Tree house said “Events like this are so important to us”. “It costs well over £3.5 million every year to offer all of our care services, both at the hospice and out in the community – a figure that will only increase as we reach out to more children. We receive 7% of our funding from central government so rely heavily on the generosity of the local community to continue offering and expanding our care services. We would like to thank everyone involved in making the Celebrity Charity football Match a great success.”
